Penrose, Colorado ATV, Dirt Bike,4x4, Horses & Hiking Trails on Public Lands. Nice smaller system of trails... new connecting trails added in 2007. Also includes Independence Extreme 4x4 Trail for hard core Jeeps, Trucks & Buggies ... fun to watch on "Lunch Break" . Dry Camping allowed. Memorial Weekend 2006 ~ CQR Denver Chapter hosted their Annual Campout in Mushroom Gulch / 4 Mile area ~ quite a few CQR Colorado Springs members attended ~

Last minute gettin-outta-town trip

WestCliffe / Duckett Creek was Base Camp for Trail Clean up including Rainbow Trail and up to Cloverdale mine ~ we removed trash, Forest debris as we checked trails in area ~ we were treated to a Thank You Dinner and awarded Pins by Forest Service along with other Volunteer groups from Hikers to Horse Riders
